Louis Winslow (he/him) is one of VOCAL-NY’s PDSE Peer Educators. Louis is responsible for delivering PDSE services to New York City. He conducts weekly outreach & Narcan training in 4 locations. Kim Smith (She/Her) holds an MPA from SUNY Brockport University and is the Political Director of VOCAL-NY. As the Political Director Kim is primarily responsible for managing the activities of the VOCAL Action Fund, which includes but is not limited to endorsement processes, political education and electoral field activities. As a resident of Rochester, Kim
Jeremy Saunders
Jeremy Saunders (he/him) has worked at VOCAL-NY since 2007, and became the Co-Executive Director in 2016. He began community organizing in 2001, working at ACORN, Community Voices Heard and Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition. Since 2021, Jeremy has helped to launch VOCAL-KY, VOCAL-TX and VOCAL-US in hopes of building a stronger national movement to
Mellanie Thomas
Mellanie Thomas (she/her), Data Associate for VOCAL-NY, is responsible for the data entry, reviewing and formatting of data reports, and management of databases used by the entire Services staff. Mellanie’s interest in data began over 15 years ago by way of a family passion for wanting to be involved with creating a more impartial society
Alfredo Padilla
Alfredo Padilla (he/him) is the Drop-in Center Harm Reduction Associate. Freddy supports VOCAL-NY in any way he can, but his main responsibilities involve supporting the Drop-in Center by monitoring the safer-use bathrooms and other facilities. Alfredo also drives for the VOCAL-NY PDSE team when needed.Â
